Busy in St Lucia

After 12 days of rolling we arrived in St Lucia on Sunday 17th December. The crossing went well and we managed to sail or motor sail for most of it. As we pick up charter guests on Saturday 23rd we are now working flat out to try and get the boat looking respectable. It is all slowly coming together but we still have a lot of work to do.

We are currently docked in Marigot Bay. The weather has been mixed with some hot days and some rainy days, although we were told it wasn't rain but sunshine liquid!

We will be cruising from St Lucia down to Grenada for the Charter and drop off on the 2nd January. After that the plan is to head up to Antigua.

As we are unlikely to be online again for a while we would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and all very best for 2007.

Heading to the Caribbean!

After a month in Palma we have finally found a job together! It is only short term, for about 6-7 weeks but it is onboard Mirabella3, a 40m sailing yacht, and going across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, so we're very happy.

Colin joined the boat in Las Palmas yesterday and Kate flies out today. Originally, Kate was not going to be able to go but with a crew change last minute we will be working together once again.

We are due to leave Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on Tuesday 5th and the crossing to St Lucia will take about two weeks. We will be in St Lucia for Christmas and pick up guests for a charter on the 27th December until early January. After the guests leave, we will then head up to Antigua where we will leave the boat.

It's so exciting to be heading back to the Caribbean....where we first met four years ago!
