Oban to Home

From Fort William we went via Glencoe to Oban where we spent a night in a very picturesque, but unfriendly campsite! We enjoyed another long walk, this time along the coast with stunning views of the Western Isles. That evening we had a BBQ, which smoked the whole campsite out but kept the midges at bay!

From Oban we travelled to Helensburgh and decided to stay in a hotel for the evening as Colin was not too well. The next day we drove to Loch Lomond and then across to Callander before visiting our great friend Lynne in her new house in Gartmore.

We had a great evening catching up with Lynne and the next morning we head off back to York, with a short Fish & Chip stop in Seahouses, Northumberland.

After six hours driving we arrived back home after a fantastic two week road trip, covering 1200 miles and visiting over 10 towns.

Congratulations on this great milestone - York is a wonderful place - my paternal family originate from there, so it has to be lovely.
